HBF Park is located just north of Perth’s Central Business District (CBD), about a kilometre away from Perth railway station. Perth Oval has had various sponsorship names, including Members Equity Stadium, ME Bank Stadium, nib Stadium, and finally since 2019 HBF Park. Works started in 2003 and were completed one year later. Once East Perth moved out in 1999, plans were therefore made to redevelop the stadium to a rectangular shape. In 1995, the Perth Oval became the home of newly formed Perth Glory, however the oval shape of the stadium proved ill-suited for soccer.
